Meet the team
Tequila Pancho Datos was founded by Luis Carlos Grijalva and his father to honour the memory of his grandfather, Ricardo Grijalva de Leon, the author of the Pancho Datos book. He spends his time between his family home in Monterrey, Mexico and working at the distillery in El Arenal, Jalisco.
Pete, James and Stuart head up the European side of operations, with a wealth of sales, business management and accountancy experience between them. All three started with Tequila Pancho Datos after Pete married into Luis' family and the rest, as they say, is history...
Luis Carlos Grijalva
Luis was instrumental in the creation of the iconic Tequila Pancho Datos bottle design and the award winning tequila within.

Leading the Mexican side of the company from the distillery in Jalisco, Mexico, he is not only responsible for the quality of our products, but also ensuring that brand's true identity and heritage are always central to our efforts.
Peter Gaskell
Cousin to Luis, Peter is the family representative for Tequila Pancho Datos in the UK. This provides a unique opportunity for the brand to link family ownership with local presence and front-line customer support in Europe.
Peter has a wealth of sales, coaching and management experience along with a deep passion for Mexico and all things tequila.
James Baker
Certified as one of only 40 tequila experts in the UK by the CRT (Mexican Tequila Regulatory Council), James has a depth of knowledge and passion for agave spirits that brings unique insight to our customers.
Prior to Pancho Datos, James built up his commercial acumen from a career in finance and venture capital.
Stuart Wischhusen
As an experienced sales professional and account manager of 8 years, Stuart leads on these roles for Tequila Pancho Datos in Europe. Stuart is also responsible for delivering Tequila Pancho Datos brand and product training to our customers.
He has successfully built long-term relationships with premium clients across all areas of hospitality, ensuring that our customers get the individual support they require.
